Totally Retro Ford Thunderbird Dresser

Back in the early 1960s my mother bought this dresser.  It was part of a "blonde" bedroom suite. It spent some time at my grandmother's house in the front bedroom before being passed on to me.  At some point it had been painted white so was passable in our guest room.  We stored junk in it plus coloring books and old books from the kid's piano lessons.

I decided to jazz it up a little.

Hence:  The Totally Retro 1964 Ford Thunderbird Dresser

But it has been in the same family since it was new.

Is this sexy or what?

The color is Sherwin Williams  "Raindrop" topped with Minwax finishing past wax "for dark woods."
Its still "curing" so it's too early to decorate.

Later,
Patti

Good color with the chrome. I'm sure you know this: Benjamim Moore "Thunderbird 675" is the turquoisey blue T-bird color and we have it in our place. This is a hot-rod street.

Visiting from Whisperwood Cottage. Your dresser is so sexy! The color, the curved drawers, the hardware. It's all so fabulous!

Sexy for sure! Those silver handles and knobs really set it off!
